HM4HB (aka human milk for human babies)

I'm not sure how many of y'all (yes, I'm from the south, I use y'all) have heard of the Facebook page HM4HB, better known as Human Milk for Human Babies. It's a page where women from all over the United States can post if they are in search of breast milk, or can post saying they have breast milk to donate. If you search on Facebook for it, they have a page for pretty much every state. When I had my youngest and I was having so many issues with formula for her, I posted on this page begging for breast milk, and you know what? Complete and total strangers were willing to help me out. Now there is a new mother who is expecting her little girl any week now, and she has the unfortunate problem where her body can not produce breast milk at all (you can read more about it here), and the woman who had built up an amazing stash for her had a very unfortunate event occur: her freezer where all the milk was being stored was somehow unplugged, and all the milk spoiled. Now this mother is in desperate need of breast milk for her daughter. If you, or anyone you know, might be able to help this woman out, please email her and let her know. Maybe if we had more people in this world willing to help out, thing's might not be so crappy. <3

Meet The Family

This is me, Ashley. The mastermind behind this whole thing.

This dorky looking man is my husband, Jared. We've been together for 3 years come the end of this month. <3

And last, but certainly not least, are the kids. Sophia is the one on the left, and Katherine on the right. Hard to believe she's going to be 2 in a few short months... Can be reverse the clock please? I don't want my little babies to grow up...

An introduction, kind of.

Well, here's an introduction for you. I'm Ashley. I'm 21, 22 in December, and I'm married to Jared, who's 25, 26 in October, the old man. ;] We have 2 beautiful daughters; Sophia, born in February of 2013, and Katherine, born in November of 2011. We live in the Sunshine State (although due to the recent weather, I really think it needs to renamed to the Rains All The Time State) and we've lived here for almost a year now. It's nice living about 20 minutes from the beach, except my kids are freaked out by the beach. -.- This blog is basically my outlet for when things just get so overwhelming that I can't see the light at the end of the tunnel anymore, and it's either blog, or drink the whole bottle of wine. Things get pretty crazy around here (no surprise considering I have 2 under 2 who are both teething... Where's the alcohol again?) and hey, who doesn't need an outlet every now and again? So this is my escape from reality for a little bit. A place where I can put all my thoughts and straighten them out so they make a little more sense, and in a world as crazy as this, something making sense sounds really awesome.
